| Thursday 19th January 2012 | BARG's Winter Quarterly Open Meeting will take place at 7.30pm in the De Vitre Room, The Cornerstone, Norreys Ave, Wokingham RG40 1UE. The meeting will include a talk on "Early Roman Quarrying and building stone use in south-east England" by Dr Kevin Haywood. After the coffeee/tea break Trevor Ottlewski will show slides from a visit in the summer to the excavation at Beeches Manor, Wokingham. Entry for members £1, visitors £2. |
| Wednesday 15th February 2012 | An evening course for BARG members on "Recognising humanly struck flint" will take place between 7.30pm and 9.30pm at Barkham. The course includes the opportunity to make your own flint implement. Bring safety glasses. Members wishing to take part please send an email to: mail@barg-online.org |

The meeting will include a talk by Dr Louise Loe of Oxford Archaeology on "Uncovering the fallen: The excavation and analysis of WWI mass graves, Fromelles, France". | Saturday 21st April 2012 | A workshop on Timber-framed buildings will take place from 10am until 4pm at Barkham, with Trevor Ottlewski. The course will include two lectures and an afternoon walking tour of buildings in Wokingham. Please send an email to: mail@barg-online.org if you are interested in attending. |
