BARG's Winter Quarterly Open meeting took place at 7.30pm in the De Vitre Room, The Cornerstone, Norreys Ave, Wokingham. The meeting included a talk on "East Berkshire and Surrey finds" by David Williams, Finds Liaison Officer for Berkshire and Surrey.

Wednesday 30th March 2011
BARG's Spring Quarterly Open meeting took place at 7.30pm in the De Vitre Room, The Cornerstone, Norreys Ave, Wokingham. The meeting included a talk entitled "Secrets of the Depths – the Thames Conservancy Collection" by Jill Greenaway, Curator of Archaeology at the Museum of Reading.

Saturday 7th May 2011
A course for BARG members on "Animal Bones in Archaeology" took place from 10am to 4pm at Portway House, Salisbury. The course introduced participants to the study of animal bones, including methods of analysis, species identification and a practical workshop.

Saturday 21st May 2011
Fourteen BARG members attended a course on "The Identification of Pottery in Berkshire" from 10.15am to 4.30pm at Portway House, Salisbury. The course introducued particpants to the study of pottery including raw materials, manufacture, vessel form etc. The main element of the day was a handling session to study the main types of pottery found in Berkshire from prehistory through to the post-medieval period.

Thursday 16th June 2011
BARG's 2011 AGM took place at 7.30pm in the De Vitre Room, The Cornerstone, Norreys Ave, Wokingham. The meeting included a talk on "Later prehistoric and Roman Landscapes on the Berkshire Downs" by Paula Levick.

Saturday 25th June 2011
BARG members joined members of SOAG for a visit to Wallingford Castle.

BARG members visited the Insula IX excavations at Silchester.

BARG members attended a workshop on Medieval pottery in Berkshire, held at Barkham from 10am to 1pm.

BARG's autumn Quarterly Open Meeting took place at 7.30pm in the De Vire Room, The Cornerstone, Norreys Ave, Wokingham. The meeting included a talk on "LIDAR" from Simon Cruchley of English Heritage.

Saturday 12th November 2011
BARG members attended a course on "Human Bone Recognition" from 10.15am to 4pm at Janus House, Osney Mead, Oxford.
