Tuesday 16th January 2024 at 7.30pm: A BARG online talk will take place via the Zoom platform. Our speakers will be Prof. Martin Bell and Dr Jennifer Foster on Hunter-gatherers in the Kennet Valley: some results from excavations at Ufton in 2023. Tickets for this event are free to BARG members and £3 for non-members.
Monday 13th May 2024 at 7.30pm*: A BARG Spring meeting will take place in the De Vitre Room, upstairs in the Cornerstone, Norreys Avenue, Wokingham, RG40 1UE. Our speaker will be Dr David Peacock on The Anglo-Saxons and West Berkshire: a look at aspects of the history of the Newbury area between the Romans and the Norman Conquest. Parking is available in the car park opposite the Cornerstone, or beside the churchyard in Norreys Avenue. Entry is free to BARG members and £3 for visitors.
